The Magnisense MIAtek™ technology platform utilizes
magnetic bead markers to permit sensitive detection
and precise quantification of a biological target. The unique design
of the MIAtek™ reader selectively identifies the xenobiotic
magnetic signature of magnetic beads to eliminate
naturally occurring background noise. This interference has
previously limited the sensitivity and thus the utility of magnetic
bead detection systems.
The Magnisense MIAtek™ technology platform offers greater
sensitivity than currently used enzyme or fluorescence-based
markers while providing a quantified result. This greater sensitivity
permits the detection of many pathogens at lower concentrations,
in some applications eliminating the need to culture the sample.
The elimination of unstable enzymes in the detection process
creates a more robust test with greater test to test accuracy. This
enhanced reproducibility further validates the confidence of low
concentration detection.
